What can one do with an online presence? I just directed to point to this blog. Let me use it for a while and see what happens...

More Magic

One of the things that I like about Magic (and lament at the lack of at tournament level) is the long game. Most competitive decks are highly tuned for speed and so, in my opinion, can lack an element of fun (and theme) that can really make the game sparkle (and the players, smile).

Magical Christmas

This time last year my sister and I were playing a few rounds of magic: the gathering with our starter decks while waiting for my aunt to cook the Christmas turkey, this year my sister and I are cooking the Christmas turkey (plus trimmings) while waiting for dinner to be over so we can play magic with our new and improved decks.

Last year, when I delved back into the wonderful (and at times costly) world of magic: the gathering, I had one very clear deck idea in mind: a deck that would fully utilise the strengths of the Relentless Rats.

iBook G4 for my living room, iPad for my gratification

I've been using my sister's old iBook G4 laptop in my living room (and while my TV can handle 1024x768, it's better for my eyes to set it to 800x600). I like using a computer in the comfort of my living room, wireless keyboard and mouse and all. I seem to find it easier to focus on a given task compared to sitting at my desktop machine (27" iMac - of which I'm proud). though that could just be the effect of a lower resolution. It's also nice to be able to sink into an armchair instead of having to sit up right at my desk.

Hello world!

My name is Baris Tosun, this is my blog.

I'm a fan of Apple computers - OS X beats Windows every time for me. The ability to simply DO things without the need to tinker is important to me. That's why I decided to sign up for a free account. All the time I've spent configuring an install of wordpress on my host could have been spent writing something down.
